- Place a candidate display ad on JobBase
Why is electronic advertising often so expensive?
That's a good question. There are really only a few reasons why electronic advertising is so expensive through the current market leaders:
- Reviewing the content of ads before publication - labour is always costly
- The job board company advertises themselves via traditional mass media channels - TV, radio, billboard and newpapers are always expensive
- Profit - net profit is often in excess of 35% of turnover
How is JobBase able to reduce the cost of electronic advertising?
Another good question. JobBase is not a "hybrid" business like most other job board companies - that is, we have based our business and delivery model on electronic media only:
- We rely on our users and subscribers to monitor the content and report misuse - hence reducing our editorial staffing requirements
- We do not advertise via traditional mass media channels
- Profit - net profit is targetted to be low - if we turn a good profit, it will be because we run a low cost business, not because we charge high fees

Recruitment, more than most industries, relies on Business-to-Business relationships.
In 2002, e-hrm Pty Ltd designed a web based solution to meet this fundamental need of recruiters.
